700 year old Douglas Fir
Outside of Portland, OregonBack in the 1930s, the timber industry felled all trees in this area...except this one,
for some reason. Cities have grown up and this is now in someone's backyard. My
brother-in-law knew about it and drove our family over to it and got the owner's
permission to slog down their wet hillside to see this mammoth.
