Sheer drop

Clouds' Rest, Yosemite, California

"On this part of our 30 mile trek, we needed a break but had to wait till we found some
shade and, more importantly, a place where the path was wide enough to drop our packs
(with out worrying obout them rolling off the side).

"Yes, it was a straight drop (close to 1000 feet), yes, I was scared, yes I got Dad's
permission, no, Mom wasn't looking.

"I'm sorry my Phoon wasn't better, but the gravel was a little loose and Dad didn't want
me to lose my balance!" --Kaitlyn
