The Cats

Near Highway 17 in Los Gatos ("The Cats"), California

"We have wanted to photograph these cats for years but always missed them because we were
driving by so fast on the highway. Right after us, a man drove up with his artist's easel,
a canvas, and box of paints. He had to wait 'til we finished our strange pose.

"Early accounts mention that many cougars roamed this area before the town was founded in
1718." --Doris
