"I found the juxtaposition of the Amish society against a raucous 1970's black TV show to
be too much to resist. When my sister saw this picture she wanted to know 'if they are
Amish, how do they even know about 'Sanford and Sons'?' This front yard was absolutely
jammed with old fashioned 'junk' and I kept waiting for the junkyard dog I could hear
barking to round a corner and latch onto my leg. It didn't, but while I was in full
phoon, a horse and buggy filled with an Amish family (it was Sunday) passed by with
curious looks on their faces. Another strange juxtaposition as the Amish are generally
the ones being stared at, not the ones doing the staring..." --Lou
