Athabasca Glacier

This photo shows snow leftover from the prior season (left) and big chunks of ice at the
bottom edge of the glacier (top). Reality is that the glacier was far, far thicker. We
just didn't have the time and energy to go explore further. Our hike was only as far as
some exposed rock along the bottom edge of the glacier...and we felt like we were up high
already!
