Maddalena's bridge

Lucca, Tuscany, Italy

"Another name for this bridge is Devil's bridge. It was built between 1046 and 1115.
Legend says that during the work the main mason make some mistake in the project and asked
help from the devil. In exchange, the devil would require the soul of the first to cross
the bridge. The bridge was completed in one night and then the mason tricked the devil: he
sent a pig across the bridge, and the devil lost!" --Stefano
