Forest burn

Devils Postpile National Monument, Mammoth Lakes, California

"This area was burned 15 years ago. Fire suppression had allowed dead wood and pine
needles to build-up for many years, and when the fire finally came, it burned the forest
to the ground. It takes a long time for a forest to grow back." --Travis
