A sculpture

Seattle, Washington

"'Salmon Waves,' by artist Paul Sorey, is next to the Hiram Chittenden Locks. It is made
of seven stainless steel structures representing the water environment at the Locks and
the spilling of water over the dam that separates fresh and salt water. They are assembled
with fasteners, not welded (reflecting the nuts-and-bolts functionality of the Locks)."
